School Safety

The safety of our students and staff is something taken seriously at West High School and in the Fort Zumwalt School District.  Emergency plans and procedures are in place for earthquake, fire, tornado and other emergency situations.  This information is shared with staff and students and posted throughout the building.  For the safety and welfare of our school, security measures have also been implemented at West High.

Deliveries  Food deliveries from outside delivery services are not permitted.  Parents and family, however, may deliver food to their student.

School Hours  Students may enter the building at 6:30 am each morning via the main entrance.  Students should leave the building by 4:00 pm each day, unless they are in the building for an after-school activity or athletic practice.

Visitors  Any visitors to West High's campus during school hours should stop at the West High security guard post when entering campus. Visitors approved to enter the the building will be admitted by the front door clerk.  Once inside, visitors should sign in and receive a visitor badge.
