Greetings Jaguar Families:

The West High campus is a busy place this time of year with our winter season wrapping up and our spring season underway.  We have had a great winter season of sports and activities.  West High students have been working hard in the classroom, on the basketball court, on the wrestling mats, in the pool, in the dance studio, and in the auditorium.  I would like to congratulate our students on a job well done.  West High students continue to represent their families, school, and community with pride.  

There are a couple of events I want to make you aware of coming up.  On Saturday, March 2nd, at 5:00 in the West High Auditorium, our Cultures in Action organization will be performing their annual celebration.    On March 2nd, West High Band, Orchestra, and Choir students will be performing at the MSHSAA District Festival.  Any student rated ‘Exemplary” will advance to the State Festival at the end of April.  Our drama department will be performing Shrek The Musical on April 11th, 12th, and 13th. Jaguar athletes will also be competing in spring sports from March - May.  Please make it a point to come on up to campus and support our students.  There are a variety of sports and activities to choose from.

We are also on the path to graduation for the Class of 2024.  I know I can speak for our faculty and staff when I say that this is always an exciting time of year.  Senior parents and students, Mrs. Lopez will be reaching out in the next few weeks with information regarding graduation, graduation tickets, picking up caps and gowns, and dates that you will need to be aware of for our Grad Walks and Grad Practice.  Our graduation ceremony will be at 8:30 p.m., May 25 at The Family Arena.  Graduation is one of my favorite times of year.
