Three Seniors Recognized
WHS Missouri 100 Scholars, Equitable Honors Scholarship Recipients

The Missouri Association of  Secondary School Principals announced its Missouri Scholars 100 recipients.  WHS' Lauren Baetje and Sarvesh Palaniappan were both selected.  Seniors selected for this award must have scored a 29 or higher on the ACT or 1900 or higher on the SAT and have a cumulative GPA of 3.750 or higher.  Students must also rank in the top 10% of their graduating class and be an exemplary school citizen.

Melanie Lyons and Palaniappan were named recipients of the Equitable Excellence Scholarship by Scholarship America.  Students who are selected for this scholarship must have demonstrated ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding school, community, or workplace activity.  Each earned a $2,500 scholarship;  WHS will also be awarded $1,000.
