WHS Celebrates February 7
Cultural and Diversity-Black History Month Celebration

Black History MonthJoin members of Cultures in Action (CIA) Friday, February 7 at 7:00 pm for WHS' third annual Cultural and Diversity-Black History Month Celebration.  The event will be held in the auditorium.

Senior Black History Month committee leaders, Vanessa Onuoha and Ryan Staples, along with Faith Flanagan, Vanessa Palmero, and Abby Robertson, have joined members of CIA and other West High students to plan the event.  The evening's event includes poetry readings, singing, dancing, film presentations, and short plays/skits from WHS students.  Students will also be joined on stage by WHS staff members Ed Crenshaw, John Cunningham and Sylvia Moore.  And, Fort Zumwalt School District's Coordinator of Diversity and Awareness, Juan Wilson, will also be part of the evening's event.

Entry to the event is a canned good or non-perishable item donation to West Warehouse, West High's own food pantry which supports students in our building as well as other families in the Fort Zumwalt Community.
