This is the image for the news article titled WHS Seeking Turkey Crown Three-peatWill West High collect the most turkeys in the annual St. Charles County No Hunger Holiday turkey drive?  Be sure to join the collection effort Wednesday, November 20 from 6:30-8:00 am in the West High parking lot/circle drive to help West High to victory and to provide a Thanksgiving meal to families in need in our area!

Members of Mr. Lee Hardy's Leadership class will be at the ready, hoping to fill a U-Haul truck full of frozen turkeys November 20.  Simply drive up and hand off your turkey.  Turkeys, as well as cash donations, will be accepted.

For the past two years, the West High community has collected the most turkeys among all St. Charles County Schools as a supporter of the No Hunger Holiday drive and are hoping to secure the win once again for the three-peat crown.

No Hunger Holiday, a collective effort among businesses, donors, vendors, and volunteers, began in 1991 and is celebrating its 29th year of operation this November.  Families in St. Charles County, along with Lincoln, Warren and Montgomery counties, will benefit from the No Hunger Holiday collections this year, and the hope is to provide meals to more than 3,000 families for Thanksgiving.

Members of the Leadership class will also take part in packing the Thanksgiving meals Tuesday, November 26, with several other community volunteers.  Turkeys--along with all the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal--will be packed that day and delivered to families in need just in time for Thanksgiving.
